NEVILLE FRANK LONGBOTTOM seventeen – straight - rebel *//cuz maybe there's a part of me that hit the wall Neville has been the one used for comedic relief over the years. But this is the year for him to shine. He wants to show his Gran that he is the son of his parents. That he can live up to her expectations, and help fill some part of the large shoes Harry has left for someone to fill. He always second guesses himself, but tries not to show it. He is very nice, and will be friendly to people unless they give him a reason not to. Neville is rebellious and as one of the leaders of the DA, he is ready to strike against Voldemort from inside the walls of Hogwarts.
*//leaving pieces of me behind :: friends Neville has a closely knit group of friends in the DA, but that doesn't mean those outside the DA or even those in the DA can/cannot be friends of his. He does have his personal preference of non-cocky, Harry supporting, strong seeming friends, who know how to have fun ever once and awhile but are serious when they need to be.
*//cuz i feel like i'm breaking inside :: enemies Enemies are quite easier to weed out. Those who don't support his cause, try to take control, are cocky, make fun of him, or go by the name of Draco Malfoy. I think that just about takes care of it. He doesn't mind pranksters, trouble makers, or people who wish to rebel. In fact he likes those kinds of people.
*//underneath the shadow of the mistakes i've made :: loveLovers? Neville currently is crushing on two girls who he is close to, but that usually doesn't turn out well. He is the kind of guy who admires and loves those who stand up for themselves, fights no matter how hard things gets, and seems so very confident in themselves. They don't second guess themselves like he does at many times, and of course, must support the DA, though don't have to be in the DA per se. Ah, it would be a bit interesting if Neville falls for a Death Eater supporter and he finds out, thinking they just want to spy on him, or something, but she isn't, really, though it may start like that.

Hey there! Welcome to WYWG!
I have two characters for you. They are both seventh year Hufflepuffs, and close friends themselves, but they would know Neville from Herbology class.
Neville and Cassidy Cassidy is a quiet, polite and rather timid girl but, like Neville, she adores Herbology. Perhaps they've fuelled one other's interest in the subject by swapping books, talking about their coursework, etc? Because Neville is gentlemanly and bashful I can see Cass being comfortable spending time with him - which is saying an awful lot, given that most people put her on edge! What do you think? Do you have a preference as to how close their friendship is?
Neville and Tristan I can also see these two being friends - or at the very least being acquaintances through Cassidy and class. Neville seems the sort of guy Tristan would be friendly with, seeing as Tris can't abide arrogance and is drawn to decent, honest and kind-hearted folks. Perhaps Tristan could have stood up for Neville in the past? Certainly he wouldn't be the sort to stand back and let bullies like Draco Malfoy put Neville down. As Tristan is on the side of the Order, and is looking to support the D.A. any way that he can, it could be that this year he will be spending more time with Neville.
Your thoughts?

Thank you! I am glad to be here!
Neville&&Cassidy I think that Cassidy and Neville could be fairly close friends, given the interest in Herbology. I think that as long as she could stand him getting in trouble, looking like a knife sharpener later in the year, and his great determination to fight against Voldemort, these two could probably be good friends, though nothing like he has with Ginny, Luna, Harry and the others.
Neville&&Tristan I think that given Tristan's personality, and connection with Cassidy, these two may become friends, or could already be friends. That's probably not very much help. I can't think very well today. Anyways, I like the idea that Tristan could have helped him out in the past when Draco Malfoy or those like Draco were picking on him, and perhaps the two could have gotten to know each other a bit better that way. Neville would let Tristan help out the DA in any way that Tristan was comfortable with, especially if they had a friendly history. Because really the DA needs as much help as they can get.

ginny && neville
Gahhh, these two are such close friends! She went to the yule ball with him, back in her third year, and I think their friendship would have blossomed from that? I don't think she'd realize that Neville has a crush on her... but I think thay would hang out quite frequently.
astoria && neville
I can't see these two interacting all that much. Astoris doesn't really talk to anyone in Gryffindor, but she wouldn't be mean to him. So acquaintances?

Neville&&Ginny Ah yes! These two! Really I got the fact that he has a crush on her from the fact that they went to the Yule Ball together, and she is the confident, strong girl that he would like, to offset his unsurity (I don't think that's a word though...). I think that Ginny and Neville's friendship would have definitely grown over the years. In my mind, Neville used to have a huge crush on her, until their fifth year when they began hanging out in the DA together, and the two would have helped each other (mostly Ginny helping him with spells and such), and becoming closer friends, and his crush decreasing, especially since she liked Harry, and he was no Harry, so he basically just let that crush slowly diminish, and just tidbits of remains are left behind. (Same with Luna, but he does have a larger crush as she hasn't shown much in the way of liking another boy, but that's for another day and for another person to discuss with).
Neville&&Astoria I don't think these two would interact very often either, especially since she's a Slytherin, and he has a bit of a prejudice towards Slytherins. Either acquaintances or just simple distrust because she is with Slytherin.

Neville and Cassidy Oh yes, I'm sure Cassidy wouldn't mind that. Who knows, perhaps Neville will inspire her to find the courage to make more of a stand. Even though she counts herself on the side of the Order, the Carrows fill her with fear. We'll have to see how they go.
Neville and Tristan Perfect! Let's have it that Tristan has stood up for Neville in the past and that they consider each other friends. Like Neville, Tristan will be in Alecto's bad books this year - and with Tristan joining the D.A., they will have plenty to talk about!
Oh, and I almost forgot:
Neville and Alecto Needless to say, this Carrow will have her eyes on Neville, given his family history and his efforts to raise student morale. As we know, Neville is ready to stand up and give lip to the Carrows, which, sadly, means he's going to feel Alecto's wrath more often than most - she cannot abide anyone undermining the new school regime. After all, in Alecto's view there's nothing worse than a pureblood traitor aligning with Harry Potter (well, apart from Muggles and Muggle-borns perhaps). Oh yes, there will be mutual hatred between these two, methinks.
My other character, Laria, is a (currently) neutral Ravenclaw sixth year student so I don't think she and Neville would have crossed paths just yet. Of course, that will change if she decides to side with the Order and the D.A. But, for now, I will leave her out of Neville's plotter.

Neville&&Cassidy Woot! I love it! Don't really have much more to add, except to ask if there is a thread we could have, or if you have an idea for a thread.
Neville&&Tristan Yay! Neville could always use more support! Maybe at one point Neville could pay Tristan back by getting him out of some punishment by his freeing people thing this year... But anyways, I do like this quite a bit!
Neville&&Alecto Oh yay! I was wondering if the Carrow controller would post here. I see plenty of trouble between these two. Every time they are around each other, there is bound to be trouble. I see Neville rebelling and releasing those Alecto and Amycus trap, or try to punish, taking the punishment himself. Plus, it will get so bad that they decide that while he is a pureblood, the world could do without him, which is when he disappears and causes even more trouble.

WEEE Neville Alriiight, so here we have: Caitria: She's a member of the DA and as such likes Neville very much. I could see her trying to pump him up now he has to take over together with Ginny, but she would do it in her own way, teasing him (though in no mean way) and maybe even take the role of a big sister-type. >You know, those that rough you up to make you stand your ground ^^ she'd surely like that Jedediah: He would regard Neville as a waste of space, I sadly have to say, and I can see Jed being mean to him in his own way. For Jed it is all about the looks and smarts, and people like Neville, who he thinks to be equipped with none would not be worth his attention. Unless... I have a sparkly idea inside of my head together with Cass concerning Jed being used by Alecto to gain information about traitors in Hogwarts. If Jed ever obliges for whatever reaosn, he would probably underestimate Neville big time and think him the weakest link, trying to get things out of him, by suddenly showing him attention and appreciation (he thinks if he graces someone with attention, they will be grateful and love him, arrogant prat )

Neville and Cassidy Excellent, we can get started then! I don't think Cass is in any open threads at the moment but we could start one for them, maybe in the Herbology classroom? Cass could be studying and Neville could drop by to see if Professor Sprout is there (or vice versa)? Whatever you fancy. Would you like me to start or would you like to?
Neville and Tristan Sounds good to me, I like the thought that Neville could rescue Tristan at some point - perhaps Alecto will be pushing Tristan's punishment too far and Neville will arrive in the nick of time.
Neville and Alecto This is exactly what I see happening too. It will take a long time for Alecto to "give up" on Neville (so deep is her love for pure blood) but she will get to the point where she wants him dead or, at they very least, carted off to Azkaban and out of her way.
