Hi everyone! I figured I ought to say hello and introduce myself properly. I am 23 years old, I live in Northern Ireland and I am a history student currently studying for my Masters. I specialise in the history of early modern witchcraft (very fitting for this forum if you ask me!) which is something I am passionate about. I enjoy belly dancing, horse riding, taking photographs, playing video games, reading, fly fishing, travelling, baking, making things, painting and cooking. I also enjoy role-playing, though it has been a few years now since I was last active on a forum. I am excited to be getting back to it. A note on my OC, Cassidy Clawford: This is a character I have been developing for some time now. I must confess, she is a fictional character that I could imagine being in my circle of friends and as such Cass shares some of my interests and traits. I know it is something of a taboo to make an OC based entirely on oneself (and arguably quite vain) so please be assured that I am not Cass and Cass is not me. Please do say hello and maybe tell me a bit about yourself. And if there is anything you want to know about me, ask away!

Hello and welcome, Cass Woah, woah, let me count, you just earned four+ awesome points with me xD 1. You're from Northern Ireland!! <3 Been there two times already and I LOVE it! Made a car tour all around NI and even though there is still much I didn't see, I feel like I know the place xD 2. History Student - I was that too! My time period was more the Medieval Times, but your subject sounds amazing as well! Early Modern Witchcraft! Didn't even know that was something a History Student could dig deeper on! 3. Master Degree! I JUST got mine (In German Literature History^^) and I feel sympathetic to ever fellow Master of Desaster xD 4. Your hobbies xD Sounds like your life is pretty eventful and cool! Belly dancing is something I tried for a little, it's so much fun! 5. It's completely fine to share traits with your charrie. I mean, the better you can get under its skin and play it! And as long as YOU still can make the differentiation between yourself and Cass, I'd say you're fine xD In any way, welcome to WYWG, and I hope you will have fun here! As you might have guessed I am one of the main admins on here. I also play a Hufflepuff 7th year, so yaay for that! I'd definitely like Cait and Cass to have a thread once, even though you'll have to decide how well Cass can cope with Cait's... traits Do you have a horse of your own, or do you just go to a farm and ride there? And where exactly in Northern Ireland do you live?

Yay, awesome points! It's not everyday I meet someone who has visited Northern Ireland! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your time here, where all did you go? I would bet you visited the Giant's Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge... am I right? (Those are pretty much the only attractions we have besides the new Titanic centre, haha) I studied for my undergraduate here in NI but one of my university applications was to St. Andrews to study Medieval History (I'm sure I would have loved it but thank heavens I was rejected, otherwise I might never have found my niche in witchcraft history). My MRes dissertation is going to be representations of witchcraft in England, c. 1500-1750 - an area that very few have ever touched on. Ahh, the excitement of breaking new historical ground! /nerd What did you write your dissertation on? Medieval history is something I have always felt drawn to though I must admit I haven't read all that much on the subject. Ugh, so you must know my Masters-related pain! My supervisor is so relaxed, he basically told me to chill out and read some books. Then today I spoke to a girl off my course and she's already drawn up her bibliography and started the first coursework portfolio. Eep! I know you're not supposed to gauge yourself on what others are doing but it's really put the wind up me. So, this evening, I will be hitting the books. Hard. That is, of course, if I can drag myself away from here! X] I did belly dancing regularly for a few years, my troupe even danced at a few charity fundraisers, but then University happened. I've only just taken it back up again but it felt great to break out all my old hip scarves and bangles. Yeah, that was my thinking behind Cass's traits/personality too. I think it's especially helpful for me to have a character I can properly relate to seeing as I have been out of role-playing action for a few years. At the same time, I definitely didn't want a self-insert type character. In time, when I get more confident, I'll probably think about making a second character a little more out of my comfort zone. Lol, I look forward to getting Cass and Cait together. I'll get a feel for Cass once I'm in the role-play, right now I'm not sure how seriously she takes herself. But we shall see, I look forward to it! I used to have my own horse, an Irish Sport Horse mare that took after her Thoroughbred side too much. Kiss was very green and pretty crazy, I had a couple of bad falls from her (once she trampled me accidentally, the one day I didn't wear my back protector, and another time the stirrup iron smacked into my face as I fell and split my lips open - my mouth was so full of blood I actually grubbed about in the sand to see if I had lost any teeth). The yard owner was helping me bring her on, I had broken and trained horses before but nothing the size of Kiss (she was 17.2hh at four years old), and he said she was madder than a box of frogs and if I were his daughter he wouldn't let me ride her. So we sold her. It broke my heart but at the same time I was badly bruised and my confidence was dented, Kiss was too much horse for me. There are videos of her online with her new owner in Scotland, it makes me happy to see how far she has come on and know that I helped her along at the start of her show jumping journey (though it hurts a bit too). Luckily though I have been a part of my university's equestrian club so I have been riding regularly since and been getting my confidence back. My sister lives in the country and is planning to build stables, we have a plan to go halfers on a horse when the time is right. This time round I will take a sensible Irish Draught methinks. Anyhoo, that post turned out longer than I planned! I talk too much. X] What other interests/hobbies do you have? Oh, and I live not too far from Belfast - in a town called Newtownards. Photo time! (Kiss is the big bay, 3 pictures along)

Heyooo! My name is Wrenna and I am 15 years old, (I feel so young O.o), and I've never been to Ireland, but I believe I'm going there this February and I cannot wait! So here are a few things about me!
1. I LOVE belly dancing! I've been doing it for a year now along with Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Ballet, all of which I've done since I was a little kid. 2. Chocolate is my best friend. Literally. 3. Your hobbies sound super cool! I've never ridden a horse, but from what I can tell it looks like a interesting and fun sport! 4. Tea is another one of life's necessities. 5.BAKING IS SO MUCH FUN. although i have a bad tendency to burn and/or explode anything I touch... 6. Triple points for liking to read! What genres do you like? Anything you'd recommend?
And there is my mini-bioish type thing that's kind of mingled with what I think of stuff you said previously xD
Welcome to the site!

Hello Wrenna, thanks for the welcome! I love how friendly everyone is here. Lol, you may feel young but I feel old! X] What part of Ireland are you planning to visit? I hope you get some rain-free days while you're here. Wow, you must be quite the dancer! Is it something you'd think about making a career out of? I fully understand, appreciate and support your love of chocolate and tea. Without these two things the world would be such an empty place. Also, raw cookie dough = true love. Honestly, sometimes most of the time the dough/batter is better than the finished product. Haha, don't worry, we all make mistakes when it comes to baking! But even a dodgy homemade cake is delicious I find - anything smothered in icing tastes good. I'll read pretty much anything, though I must say I am a big fan of Stephen King. His book, The Stand, is one of my absolute favourites. I recently read one of his collections of short stories, Skeleton Crew, which was pretty good. I was also very impressed with Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games series - the books are so much better than that movie they made. What books do you like? Do you have anything to recommend?

Hey hey Cassidy! I'm Theo! I live in Wisconsin -Go Badgers!- Annnnd I study film and photography. Also, I work in my family's restaurant. I cook, wait tables, blah, blah, blah. I, like you, enjoy history, but I'm likely not to be as well versed in the subject as you. I'm an avid skateboarder. Have been since I could walk practically, and I do also try to get involved in politics. I'm not nearly as active as I would like to be, but ho hum. I might enjoy chocolate a bit more than you and Wren. xD I know you don't believe it, but it's true. I'd bath in it if I could! Oh! And, licorice. I <3 black licorice, not the red kind. Icky! I have to admit that if I were ever so fortunate enough to visit Ireland, I would NEVER leave. But, I suppose, the grass always seems greener... Anyhoo! Recently I was taken up on a plane which belongs to my dad's friends, and was able to film the entire session! I know, pretty lame, but I've never flown in such a small plane so I had to take the opportunity. Hopefully when I have all the edits finished and after I'm graded, I'll be able to post the video. As far as books go, you should check out The Game of Thrones. The series, thus far, is not a bad read if you're into that kind of fantasy. So yeah... Welcome to the site! We're glad to have you, and if I can assist in any fashion, lemme know!
