Ginny looked at her reflection in the mirror, taking in the red curls that cascaded down her back, half exposed, half hidden under her hat. Her eyes drifted from her hair, to her dress and makeup, raising a slender fingertip to remove a stray clump of mascara. She had decided to go with simple makeup, lining her eyes with a brown liner and mascara and using a pale peach color on her lips. The dress she wore was brand new, and was red with gold trim, hugging her slim curves. Smiling at her reflection, she drifted back over to her bed, lightly pulling on a pair of high heels she’d managed to transfigure. Instead of the regular toe top, they were curved, and shaped like a lion’s foot. She had completed the look my painting her nails black.
The DA’s masquerade party was sure to be a good one. Both Ginny and Neville had worked hard to decorate the space in a way that would help everyone relax and have fun. The only flaw in their plan was the teachers Halloween Party. It was scheduled at the same time, and all students had to make an appearance. She planned to change out of her costume later, and make a brief appearance towards the end of the party.
She glanced at the clock, grinning as she headed out of her dorm and into the Common Room.There were a few groups of students clumped together, but she didn’t bother to stop and chat. Instead, she made her way out into the hall and up the staircase to the seventh floor.
When she entered the room of requirement, a large smile lit up her face, everything was exactly as they wanted! There were three tables of food and drink, and the only lighting was a few strings of fairy lights and a couple of pumpkins lined up along the wall. Black and Orange crepe paper was draped across the ceiling, and the dance floor was outlined with small lights that were implanted in the floor.
Smiling, she wandered over to the drink table, grabbing a cup of punch before standing and waiting for someone else to show up.
