It was currently a few minutes past midnight and the girls in Ginny's dorms were sound asleep. Well, most of them were anyways. Ginny Weasley was tossing and turning. Finally she decided to give up on sleep and rolled out of bed, hitting the ground with a gentle thud. She stood and groped her hand over the bedside table. Her hand brushed against her wand. She gripped it and muttered softly under her breath, “Lumos,” The tip of the wand lit up and she got dressed. She whispered “Nox,” and the room went dark again.
Ginny slipped out of the dorm, closing it gently behind her. She pulled at Bills ratty t-shirt, reconsidering her night time jaunt for only a second. What if someone saw her? She was only wearing the shirt and a pair of fuzzy purple socks. Ginny furrowed her brow and continued on through the hallways, she would not get caught and she would not be seen. The stupid Prefects wouldn't know what hit them if they tried to stop her. She slowed her pace again until she came to a complete stop, what if the Carrows found her? Ginny shuddered. It was a pretty risky move, walking around the castle at night now, but Ginny did it anyway. She had only been caught a handful of times, and the punishments had varied from immensely painful to cleaning out the supply cupboards. Ginny continued walking. She was Ginny Weasley and nothing stopped her from getting or going where she wanted.
Sighing, Ginny ran a hand through her thick red hair. Merlin what’s going to happen this year? She thought to herself biting down on the inside of her cheeks. The universe seemed to be throwing all kinds of things at her lately.
She knew she wasn't going to get to sleep anytime soon, there were too many things floating around inside of her head. Ginny kept walking, occasionally stopping to check where she was or to retrace her steps.
She'd decided where to go before leaving the Common Room, it had been a close battle between the Clock Tower and the Kitchens, but she'd noticed that the Carrows had a bad habit of lurking about in the basements, so the Clock Tower it was. thoughtful look crossed her face as she continued walking.
As she walked, her mind drifted back to her first year at Hogwarts, everything had seemed so simple then, you got up, went to classes, chatted with friends and did homework. A warm glow settled in the pit of her stomach as the fond memories washed over her. The delight lasted only minutes before turning to anger as she remembered the horrendous deal with the Chamber of Secrets. That stupid Malfoy with his stupid Death Eater father and his stupid ego and his stupid good looks. Truth be told Ginny thought the younger Malfoy was quite interesting, yes she didn't particularly like how he acted, but he was still interesting. Her brows furrowed as she thought about them. The red haired girl sighed and shook her head as she took the towers steps two at a time, taking a nice, calming breath of fresh air. So what if her view was somewhat marred by gears and bits of clock, it was still lovely, and unlike the Astronomy Tower, she wouldn't freeze while she sat there. In her rush to look out of the castle, she'd not noticed the other, very human like figure that was already there, only noticing them when she turned around to find a spot to sit.

The wind was blowing in his face, threatening to knock him off balance. This tower was nothing like he had seen before, yet that hardly mattered. There were screams all around him. Draco frantically searched for a way down to the ground, but could find none. He needed to get off this tower. The wind grew stronger and Draco had to kneel down to keep his balance. Suddenly the wind became a voice, hissing in his ear. "You must kill Albus Dumbledore."

His father, Lucius Malfoy, now stood on top of the tower with him. His face looked hurt, and he nodded. "Please, Draco," he begged, "Redeem your father." The wind picked up and blew the image of his father away. A burning sensation started on his arm, and soon is grew into unbearable pain. In a matter of seconds, the Dark Lord seemed to burst out of his arm through the Dark Mark. Draco cowered before him, not daring to look at his face. More Death Eaters appeared behind masks and began to whisper amongst each other. He'll never do it. He's too weak." Draco couldn't take it anymore. He began to back up just as the Dark Lord began to speak. "He will do it, or he will die." Draco backed up too far, and he felt his feet slip over the edge of the tower. He was falling now, but the ground wasn't getting any closer. He looked to his left and saw another falling figure. Professor Dumbledore. The late headmaster shook his head sadly. "You failed." Draco wanted to scream, but he had lost his voice. He could not find the will to speak. He wanted to say sorry. It wasn't his fault. He never wanted to. Draco shot up into a sitting position, his heart pounding wildly. It had all been a dream. His blankets were damp with sweat, and his face felt like it was burning up. He glanced around, hoping nobody had saw him. Thankfully, it appeared as though everyone was asleep. Draco took a deep breath, and swung his legs over the side of his bed. The wizard pulled a crumpled shirt over his head, grabbed his robes from the hook on the wall, and headed out of the dorm. He needed fresh air, and fast. Draco made no attempt to hide his presence. The fact that he was a prefect of Slytherin would protect him from anyone who was in charge of punishment. Draco did not need to use his status, though, as he did not meet anyone along the way. He dashed up the stairs to the top of the clock tower. The air up here was more crisp than the air of his common room. He gazed out of the window at the Hogwarts grounds. Though the grounds were dark, he could still see the even darker spots drifting around. Dementors. He began to think about his dream. About the strange tower and the wind. Voldemort. He shivered, and forced himself to think of other things. Thankfully, mere seconds later, a distraction was provided. He heard quiet footsteps climbing the stairs. Quietly, Draco withdrew to the darker corner of the tower. Was this some sort of secret meeting? His instincts told him no, there was only one pair of footsteps, but one never could know. At first he couldn't see the figure, only a dark blur. However, as she stepped into the moonlight, it became quite clear. The long, red hair. Hand-me-down clothing. Ginny Weasley. He stood there unnoticed for a few seconds. Perhaps he hadn't been far off in his assumption after all. The steps remained quiet though. Then she turned. Her eyes were on him, indicting she had obviously noticed his presence. With a smirk on his face, Draco strode forward a couple paces until he, too, was standing in the light of the moon. "So, Ginny," he started, taking in her outfit. He stretched out a hand to place under her chin. "Where's your cowardly boyfriend these days? Trying hiding from the Dark Lord?" Draco frowned. "Or did you think that since you and the Dark Lord are so very well acquainted that you just ask him to please leave little Harry alone?" Word count: 720. Muse: Oh very high. Song: A Beautiful Lie - 30 Seconds to Mars Ooc: Sorry. I noticed that the thread was open and took it upon myself to reply. Hope you were cool with that :'). [/div]

Ginny breathed a quiet sigh of relief as she made her way to the top of the clock tower. She slowly walked over to the railing, leaning against it before smiling. She’d always enjoyed visiting the clock tower, especially at night. It was less open, and seeing as she wasn’t really wearing much, the cool air that was able to enter didn’t make her freeze to death as the astronomy tower did.
She smiled before turning around and taking a few steps forward, stopping in her tracks when her eyes landed on a very human, and very alive, shape. Her chocolate eyes narrowed as she took a few tentative steps forwards. Ginny slowly raised her wand, illuminating the oh so familiar figure that stood before her. Not that she had needed the light of course, he’d stepped forward willingly enough.
Ginny glared at him, pulling away as his fingers came to rest under her chin. “Don’t touch me, Draco.” She muttered, crossing her arms over her chest. Merlin, why hadn’t she thought to bring a dressing gown or… or some sort of pants! She felt her cheeks flame up as a pink blush began to spread over her face. Her glare became more and more pronounced as he continued to speak. How dare he! How dare he drag those things up! It was all his bloody fathers fault anyway! She hadn’t asked for any of it.
“Harry is not my boyfriend!” She growled, “And funnily enough, I was under the impression that you were the one acquainted with Voldemort, not me. Was it not your father that was put into Azkaban? Or was that just a figment of my imagination.” She finished, taking another step forward. She was still trying to figure out a way to escape the tower without getting either detention or injured, both of which seemed to be quite large possibilities when viewed from her current vantage point.
She wouldn’t have put it past him to just curse her on the spot, or shoving her over the side of the tower. In the short time she’d been back at Hogwarts, Ginny had heard horrible things about the death eaters, most of these rumors contained Malfoys name. If she was honest, she was actually somewhat scared of the ferret, but she’d sooner have died than admit it. Of course, the rumors could’ve been lies. He had only spoken to her, not alerted the Carrows of her presence or even cursed her… It was a possibility, but Ginny sorely doubted it.
